Airports
OPO Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport — 11 km straight-line · Metro line E (Violet) starts at the airport's own station (Aeroporto) and runs to the city. Check the destination board: some E trains end at Trindade, where you change to line A, B or F for Estádio do Dragão.
Long-distance railPorto Campanhã · Campanhã is Porto's main long-distance station. Its Metro station is next to the railway station and Estádio do Dragão is the next stop east (lines A, B, E and F), so it is one stop away.

Getting back at night

Estádio do Dragão is the starting point of lines A, B and E, so trains leave the station full and empty out toward Trindade and the city. Metro do Porto runs until about 01:00 on normal nights, and its September 2026 frequency table shows the last departure from Estádio do Dragão at 00:54 on Sundays and holidays. A match ending at 23:00 leaves roughly two hours, but the Metro publishes no match-night timetable.

Match ends at 23:00Go straight to Estádio do Dragão station and ride toward Trindade: the last train that night leaves before about 01:00 and the exact time for weekdays and Saturdays is not published here. After the Metro closes, STCP's dawn network (00:30 to 06:00) runs 'M' lines from Avenida dos Aliados, for example 1M to Matosinhos, 2M to Hospital de São João and 3M to the airport; to reach it, ride the Metro to Trindade and walk into the Aliados area. The day and night buses that serve the stadium itself (203 and ZC) stop at 00:30.

Last services

Metro A / B / E / F Estádio do Dragão → Trindade / city centre not published Metro do Porto's frequency table valid from 7 September 2026 lists the last departure from Estádio do Dragão at 00:54 on Sundays and holidays; the weekday and Saturday last departures were not readable. On exceptional nights, such as the league-title celebration in May 2026, the Metro ran until 03:00, but that is announced case by case. [source]
Metro E (Violet) Estádio do Dragão → Aeroporto not published Direct to the airport, but some E trains stop at Trindade: check the destination on the train. Last departure not published separately. [source]
Bus 203 / ZC Estádio do Dragão → Casa da Música / Areias not published STCP's network map (September 2026 edition) puts 203 (Estádio do Dragão to Casa da Música) and ZC (Estádio do Dragão to Areias) in the day and night network, 06:00 to 00:30. The exact last departure from the stop is not given; 00:30 is the end of that network. [source]
Night bus 1M / 2M / 3M Avenida dos Aliados → Matosinhos (Praia) / H. S. João / Aeroporto not published STCP's dawn network runs from 00:30 to 06:00 and starts at Avenida dos Aliados, not at the stadium. Timetables are on stcp.pt. [source]

Queues at the station

The club and the Metro publish no queue figures. The station next to the stadium is the bottleneck, and Praça do Dragão is a controlled area around the match, so allow time at the perimeter. Trains start here, so you board before the crowd thins out down the line.

If you miss it

Take a taxi or an app ride from outside the closed streets around the stadium, or go to Avenida dos Aliados and wait for the STCP dawn lines (1M, 2M, 3M and others) that start there after 00:30.

How a visitor gets a ticket

Members first, then general sale

Annual seats (Lugar Anual) belong to members. When a holder releases a seat, the club resells it to another member or fan. Single-match tickets go to members first and then, if seats remain, to the public. Recent sales have required a registered account at bilhetes.fcporto.pt, and non-members enter with a digital Access Card. We could not read the shop to confirm the order of the phases for each kind of match.

Buy only from the club's ticket shop. FC Porto's terms say tickets are named, a different person will be refused at the gate, and resale or duplication can mean cancelled tickets without refund and referral to the authorities.

Official channels only

We never link unofficial resellers: tickets bought there are cancelled at the gate, and in the UK reselling football tickets without the club’s authorisation is a criminal offence.

Getting there

Public transport

The Metro is the way in: Estádio do Dragão station is next to the ground and is the eastern end of lines A, B and E and a through station on line F. From the centre it is a ride on the shared trunk through Trindade, Bolhão and Campanhã. STCP buses also serve the stadium (line 203 to Casa da Música and the ZC to Areias).

  1. From Trindade (the interchange with line D), take a train on A, B, E or F toward Estádio do Dragão; stops on the way include Bolhão, Campo 24 de Agosto, Heroísmo and Campanhã.
  2. On match days the club closes Praça do Dragão to the public before the gates open (17:45 for a 20:45 kick-off in April 2026) and cuts circulation between some gates, so you may be held at the perimeter until the gates open.
  3. Gate opening varies by match (18:45 for an evening Taça de Portugal semi-final in April 2026). If your gate has a queue, the club lists alternative gates in its notice for each match.
  4. Non-members need the digital Access Card from their account at bilhetes.fcporto.pt: you hold your phone to the turnstile.

Driving and parking

Not recommended and not documented by the club: FC Porto's fan notices give no parking instructions, only that Praça do Dragão is closed before the gates open. Park near a Metro station further out and ride in.

Taxi and ride-hailing apps

Taxis and app rides (Uber and Bolt are licensed operators in Portugal) work in Porto, but no official source names a taxi rank or pick-up point at the Dragão on match days. Because Praça do Dragão is closed before and around the match, ask to be picked up outside the perimeter.

Bags and documents

FC Porto points to its Access and Permanence Regulation for the list of banned items and publishes no bag size limit in the pages we could read; pyrotechnics are expressly banned. There is a bag and lost-property point (Guarda-objetos) between gates 23 and 24. Keep your bag small or leave it at the hotel.

Documents: Tickets are named and non-transferable: someone other than the ticket holder is refused entry. The terms set no general ID check for adults at the gate. Non-members need the digital Access Card from their account, which only the authenticated holder can download.

Area Why
Campanhã One Metro stop from Estádio do Dragão and next to the long-distance station. You are not far from the stadium, though the area has little nightlife.
Trindade / Bolhão On the shared Metro trunk to the stadium (lines A, B, E, F) and a short walk from Avenida dos Aliados, where STCP's night buses start after 00:30.
Aliados / Baixa The centre. Take line D to Trindade and change to A, B, E or F, or use the airport line E. Plan your return before the Metro closes.
