Getting back at night

The stadium itself warns that the walk to the main Stratford station can take up to 80 minutes after an event. Stratford has the Jubilee, Central, Elizabeth, DLR and Overground lines, so you have options, but on a weeknight the last Jubilee and Central trains leave just after midnight. Friday and Saturday nights the Jubilee and Central lines run all night.

Match ends at 23:00Event ends at 23:00 (a concert, for example), Monday to Thursday: if the 80-minute walk the stadium warns about comes true you reach Stratford around 00:20, after the last Jubilee train toward Baker Street, Bond Street and Wembley Park (00:11 to Stanmore) and the last Central train (00:12 to West Ruislip, 00:10 to Ealing Broadway). That is the tight spot. What is still running: the DLR to Canary Wharf until 00:50, and the night buses N8 and N25 from Stratford Bus Station toward Oxford Circus from about 00:15 to 00:35. The Elizabeth line has no timetable in TfL's open data, so check the TfL Go app on the night. Friday or Saturday: the Jubilee runs all night (Night Tube), and the Central runs all night between Hainault and Ealing Broadway: no deadline. Sunday is the tightest: last Jubilee at 23:37, last Central at 23:26 (West Ruislip) and 23:29 (Ealing Broadway), DLR to Canary Wharf 23:50.

Queues at the station

The stadium warns that the pedestrian route to the main Stratford station can take up to 80 minutes after an event, and roads stay closed for about 2 hours after the final whistle or the end of the concert. It does not describe a station queue system. Stratford has several stations: if the main one is packed, walk 10 minutes to Pudding Mill Lane (DLR), or 15 minutes to Hackney Wick (London Overground) or Stratford International (DLR and Southeastern).

If you miss it

Night buses N8 and N25 leave Stratford Bus Station for Oxford Circus from about 00:15 to 00:35 and run until after 04:00. The DLR to Canary Wharf runs until 00:50 (23:50 on Sunday). Black cabs use a temporary rank at Pool Street after events. Hackney Wick is a 15-minute walk if Stratford is jammed, but no last-train time was found for the Overground, so check the TfL Go app first.

How a visitor gets a ticket

Members first, then general sale

West Ham is in the Championship in 2026-27 and plays its home games here. The club sells tickets in phases: bondholders, then Claret & Blue members, then season ticket holders' additional tickets, then general sale. For West Bromwich Albion (31 October 2026) the general sale opened about 28 hours after the members' window did. With more than 50,000 season tickets sold, the general sale is the realistic way in but it can sell out. The club's Ticket Exchange lets season ticket holders resell seats at face value; the pages read do not say whether others can buy on it. Concerts and athletics at the stadium are sold through Ticketmaster, the stadium's official seller; hospitality is sold separately.

In England it is a criminal offence to sell or pass on a ticket for a designated football match without the organiser's written authorisation. Buy football tickets only from West Ham's own ticket office or Ticket Exchange, and concert tickets only from the stadium's official Ticketmaster page.

Official channels only

We never link unofficial resellers: tickets bought there are cancelled at the gate, and in the UK reselling football tickets without the club’s authorisation is a criminal offence.

Getting there

Public transport

Use Stratford, the main gateway: Central and Jubilee lines, DLR, Elizabeth line, London Overground, and Greater Anglia and c2c trains, with 58 trains an hour. The stadium says it is a 15-minute walk (another page of its site says about 20). Stewards, signs and road closures guide you.

  1. Stratford station: 15 minutes on foot to the stadium. Stratford International (DLR and Southeastern high-speed trains) is also 15 minutes; Hackney Wick (London Overground) 15 minutes; Pudding Mill Lane (DLR) 10 minutes.
  2. On event days there is no access to the stadium island for people without a ticket, and roads close three hours before football matches.
  3. Buses 388, 308, 339 and D8 stop near the park; many more serve Stratford and Stratford City bus stations (25, 69, 86, 97, 104, 108, 158, 241, 257, 262, 276, 425, 473).
  4. A free accessible shuttle for guests with access needs leaves from platform 13 at Stratford, at the end of the Jubilee line.

Driving and parking

Don't drive. The stadium tells you to think seriously about your journey and use public transport; the closest car parks are at Westfield Stratford City.

Taxi and ride-hailing apps

Black cabs use the rank on Montfichet Road, outside the Northern Ticket Hall at Stratford station. The stadium does not mention minicabs or ride-hailing. Uber and Bolt operate in London; expect to be picked up away from the closed roads around the park.

Bags and documents

Large bags are not allowed and anything bigger than A4 is refused entry. All bags are searched and there is no left luggage at the stadium: the stadium advises you not to bring a bag at all.

Documents: You must show your ticket when asked, and sit only in your ticketed seat. Tickets remain the property of the event owner until you leave. The pages we read do not state a photo-ID rule, the ticket format at the gate, or whether the stadium is cashless: carry your passport and a charged phone.

Where to stay

Area Why
Stratford The area around Stratford station and Westfield, 15 minutes on foot from the stadium, with the Jubilee, Central, Elizabeth, DLR and Overground lines at the door. You still walk in the post-event crowd, but not for the trains.
Hackney Wick A 15-minute walk from the stadium on the London Overground, away from the Stratford crowd. No last-train time was found for the Overground.
Canary Wharf Direct Jubilee line and DLR to Stratford. Last Jubilee from Stratford toward town is at 00:11 Monday to Thursday and all night Friday and Saturday; the DLR runs until 00:50.
Liverpool Street / Shoreditch Central line and Elizabeth line straight to Stratford, and the Central runs all night on Friday and Saturday. We did not check the last trains in this direction for other nights; the N8 and N25 night buses also run between Oxford Circus and Stratford.
