Getting back at night
Madrid's Metro is open until 01:30 every day, so a night match is not a problem in itself. The catch in 2026: the stadium's own station is closed, so everyone leaves on foot to Nuevos Ministerios (750 m south), on the S10 replacement bus, or north to Cuzco. EMT night buses (búhos) take over after the Metro closes.

Queues at the station
There is no official figure for queues at Nuevos Ministerios. For scale: before it closed, Santiago Bernabéu station handled more than 34,000 passengers on big event days, and that crowd now walks to Nuevos Ministerios, Cuzco, Concha Espina or the S10 stops. The new station will have three times the floor space, precisely for match-day crowds.
If you miss it
After 01:30, take the N22 búho from the Castellana (Plaza de Lima stop) to Cibeles, the hub of the night network, or hail a taxi or book Uber, Cabify or Bolt a few streets away from the closed area.

How a visitor gets a ticket
Members first, then general sale
A tourist can buy, but goes last. Each match opens in phases: socios with season tickets, socios without, Madridistas Platinum/Premium, and only then the general public, online only at realmadrid.com, until seats run out. Madridista Premium membership is open to anyone and gives early purchase, which is the official way to get ahead of the general public. Kick-off dates are often still "to be confirmed" when sales open.
Real Madrid recognises only realmadrid.com and entradas.com, does not sell by phone and does not exchange or refund tickets. It takes no responsibility for tickets from other channels, and away fans holding tickets bought outside the away club's allocation can be refused entry.
Official channels only
- Official ticket sale: realmadrid.com
- Membership: madridistas.com
- Official hospitality: realmadrid.com
We never link unofficial resellers: tickets bought there are cancelled at the gate, and in the UK reselling football tickets without the club’s authorisation is a criminal offence.

Getting there
Public transport
The stadium's own Metro stop, Santiago Bernabéu (Line 10), is closed: since 28 March 2026 Line 10 does not run between Nuevos Ministerios and Cuzco while the station is rebuilt. Metro de Madrid still listed the closure on 5 November 2026. Get off at Nuevos Ministerios (Lines 6, 8 and 10 plus Cercanías), 750 m away, and walk or take the free S10 replacement bus.
- Metro to Nuevos Ministerios (Line 6, Line 8 or Line 10 from the south) or Cercanías to Nuevos Ministerios (C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-7, C-8, C-8a, C-10).
- Walk about 750 m north along the Paseo de la Castellana to the stadium.
- Or take the S10 bus (Plaza de Castilla – Nuevos Ministerios), free with a Metro ticket, to the Santiago Bernabéu stop at Paseo de la Castellana 93 (Plaza de Lima, stop 41).
- Other options: Cuzco (Line 10, from the north) is 510 m away; Concha Espina (Line 9) and Estrecho (Line 1) are about 1 km away. EMT buses 14, 27, 40, 43, 120, 126, 147 and 150 stop around the stadium.

Driving and parking
Madrid City Council closes the streets around the stadium before every match and asks people to use public transport and avoid the affected area. Don't drive to a match.
- Closed to traffic before matches: Avenida de Concha Espina, Padre Damián, Doctor Fleming, Rafael Salgado, the Paseo de la Castellana side lanes, Profesor Waksman and Santiago Bernabéu street.
- Expect heavy traffic on the central Castellana, Paseo de la Habana, General Perón, Plaza de Cuzco, Alberto Alcocer, Raimundo Fernández Villaverde, Joaquín Costa and Serrano.
- The old underground car park under the La Esquina shopping centre, next to the stadium, has been demolished as part of the works.

Taxi and ride-hailing apps
Uber is the stadium's official sponsor and works in Madrid, as do Cabify, Bolt and Auro (private-hire, app only). Madrid's white taxis can be hailed in the street or booked with FreeNow, PideTaxi, Join Up Taxi or the city's TxMAD app.
- Private-hire cars (VTC: Uber, Cabify, Bolt, Auro) cannot pick you up in the street; you set the pickup point in the app.
- Taxi ranks are marked with a blue sign with a white "T". Neither the club nor the city publishes a dedicated match-day pickup point; the streets next to the stadium are closed to traffic, so walk away from the cordon (towards Nuevos Ministerios or Plaza de Castilla) before booking.

Bags and documents
There is no left-luggage at the Bernabéu. Bulky items, prams and suitcases are not allowed in, so come with a small bag or none. The club publishes no backpack size limit.
- Banned: food or drink in metal, glass, ceramic or wooden containers, anything over 500 ml or 500 g that could be thrown, alcohol, umbrellas with a wooden or metal tip and golf umbrellas.
- Water: one plastic bottle of up to 50 cl, with the cap removed.
- Motorbike helmets are allowed, but you will be asked for ID at the gate.
- For matches bought online, the ticket downloaded to your phone is the only valid entry document (no print-at-home). You can leave and re-enter only once, and only after scanning out.
- Every spectator needs their own ticket, babies included: entry with a child in arms without a ticket is refused.
Documents: Tickets are personal and non-transferable. For tickets bought as a socio or Madridista, security can ask for ID (DNI or passport) or the membership card together with the ticket, and refuse entry or eject anyone who is not the holder. Carry your passport or national ID card.
