Getting back at night

Getting back is fine if you plan for it: after events the RER B runs every 3 minutes, Métro 14 every 2 and Métro 13 every 3. Last departures are published for each event on the official RER B line blog. For the October 2026 France matches the last RER B to Paris left at 00:40, but there was no RER D at all after 23:00.

Match ends at 23:00Match ends around 23:00 (France kick-offs in autumn 2026 were at 20:45): forget the RER D, whose last trains on those nights left at 22:56–22:57, before the final whistle. From the east gates, walk 10 minutes to La Plaine – Stade de France for the RER B to Gare du Nord and Châtelet (last train to Paris 00:40 on 2 and 5 October 2026). From the south-west gates, walk 20 minutes to Saint-Denis Pleyel for Métro 14 (last 00:33 on Monday 5 October, 01:34 on Friday 2 October). From the north gates, Métro 13 at Saint-Denis – Porte de Paris (last 00:39 on the Monday, 01:39 on the Friday), but the walk there can take 5–25 minutes depending on the crowd. Compare the dates: on the Friday night the metro ran about an hour later than on the Monday.

Queues at the station

The stadium was designed to empty 80,000 people in under 10 minutes, but the stations take longer: the line blog warns the walk to Métro 13 can take up to 25 minutes in the crowd. Buy your return ticket in advance to skip the machines.

If you miss it

After the last metro and RER B, the fallbacks are Uber, Bolt or a taxi from outside the closed perimeter, or Noctilien night buses. We could not load an official page naming the Noctilien line from Saint-Denis (the RATP and Île-de-France Mobilités sites blocked our requests): check the Bonjour RATP app on the night.

How a visitor gets a ticket

Members first, then general sale

France men's team tickets are sold on the FFF's official ticketing site in phases: Club des Supporters de l'Équipe de France members first, then registered FFF players (licenciés), then general sale. A tourist can buy in the general sale without membership, but big matches can sell out in the presales; the Club des Supporters is an annual paid membership sold online. Concerts, rugby and other events are sold through stadefrance.com or the organiser. As of November 2026 no men's France football match is scheduled at the Stade de France (the November 2026 home match is in Bordeaux).

Tickets bought from unofficial sources are invalid under the FFF stadium rules. The stadium warns that ticket sites at the top of search results are not necessarily authorised, and that a confirmation email does not prove a ticket is valid. Its official resale covers only part of the programme; packages, VIP seats and disabled-access seats cannot be resold.

Official channels only

We never link unofficial resellers: tickets bought there are cancelled at the gate, and in the UK reselling football tickets without the club’s authorisation is a criminal offence.

Getting there

Public transport

Five rail lines serve the stadium and the right one depends on your gate. The official RER B line page recommends Métro 14 where possible, and buying your return ticket before you travel so you don't queue at the machines afterwards. The stadium reminds you that your ticket must be valid to La Plaine – Stade de France (RER B) or Stade de France – Saint-Denis (RER D).

  1. Gates A–H (east side): RER B towards Mitry-Claye to La Plaine – Stade de France, then about 10 minutes on foot. Métro 12 to Front Populaire is the alternative (25 minutes' walk).
  2. Gates R and S (north): Métro 13 towards Saint-Denis Université to Saint-Denis – Porte de Paris, about 5 minutes on foot depending on crowds.
  3. Gates T, U, X, Y and Z (south-west): Métro 14 to its terminus Saint-Denis Pleyel (about 20 minutes' walk), or RER D towards Creil to Stade de France – Saint-Denis (about 15 minutes' walk).
  4. Trams T1 (Saint-Denis Basilique) and T8 (Saint-Denis Porte de Paris) also stop nearby.

Driving and parking

Only with a parking space booked in advance: there is no on-site sale on event days, and only accredited vehicles or those with a parking ticket may drive into the stadium area.

Taxi and ride-hailing apps

Uber (available 24/7 in Paris) and Bolt both operate in Paris, as do regular taxis. On event days only accredited vehicles and parking-ticket holders can drive into the stadium area, so a car cannot collect you at the gates.

Bags and documents

Backpacks up to 15 litres only. Suitcases of any size and big bags (backpacks over 15 L, hiking or sports bags) are banned, and the free left-luggage desks refuse them, so leave them at your hotel.

Documents: Tickets sold by the stadium are m-tickets in the STADEFRANCE Tickets app, so you need a smartphone (minors can show theirs on the accompanying adult's phone); tickets can be transferred in the app. FFF rules say only tickets from official sales channels are valid. No official source loaded says photo ID is checked at the gate.

Where to stay

Area Why
Gare du Nord (10th arrondissement) One stop from the stadium on the RER B (4 minutes, every 3 minutes after events), and the arrival point for Eurostar and trains from the north.
Along Métro 14 (Saint-Lazare, Châtelet, Gare de Lyon) Métro 14 runs every 2 minutes after events from Saint-Denis Pleyel, and it is the line the RER B blog recommends; it also links Orly airport directly.
Saint-Denis / La Plaine Walking distance, so the last train does not matter; you stay outside central Paris, though.
